Red Spots

In general, red spots also known as rosacea, couperose and erythrose, are caused by blood vessels becoming visible under the skin:

  • Rosacea is characterized by a concentration of small dilated vessels that multiply over time and cause redness in the face, cheeks and nose.
  • Couperose, the most common condition, affects both men and women and results in a certain capillary fragility and poor blood circulation throughout the veins and vessels of the face.
  • Erythrose is similar to couperose, differentiated only by the diameter of the vessels visible to the naked eye and causing diffused redness on the face and neck.

Photorejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light provides sustained improvement in the texture and color of the skin. Areas of the skin damaged by the presence of small blood vessels respond very well after three to six treatments, each one booked every 10 to 15 days. Finally, a solution for cheeks that are too rosy or noses damaged by unsightly blood vessels! A pulsed light treatment lasts about 20 minutes and you can return to work immediately after, as no recovery time is required.

Couperose skin is a progressive disease, we therefore recommend an annual maintenance session, as necessary, once you have completed the initial series of treatments.

We recommend waiting three to four weeks before undergoing treatment after tanning.

Complimentary care is essential during and after treatments in order to maximize results. We recommend using our Dr Babor products.
